Serviced Office in Tokyo - beat the boom and find the perfect work space space today

Posted in on Thursday, 12th December 2013 at 2:03PM

The last two decades have seen a painful stagnation of Japan's economy which, coupled with the recent earthquake and nuclear disaster, might make Tokyo an unlikely candidate for being on the brink of a real estate boom, but that is exactly what experts are predicting.  The source of this up-turn can be attributed to the drastic economic changes instigated by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe which have seen increased taxation coupled with a boost to public spending and consequently a stirring of the sleeping economy.

For those looking to invest in a serviced office in Tokyo in the short term there are some very appealing options on the table for immediate occupancy.  Here are a few of our favourites at NewOfficeAsia.com that we feel balance excellent value for money, convenience and high levels of service.

The guide to finding and renting a serviced office in Beijing

Posted in Beijing on Wednesday, 13th November 2013 at 12:49PM

Financial services company Jones Lang LaSalle recently released a report that indicates Beijing now has the third most expensive office rental rates in the world, only beaten by Hong Kong and London.  Companies looking to acquire space on the world renowned Beijing Finance Street (Jinrong Street) should expect to pay in the region of  $137 per square foot per year which is nearly $40 more than Paris' Golden Triangle!  This may seem an odd situation at first given that Beijing has not historically been regarded as a top-tier centre of business but in view of recent trends and the predicted rise of China to global economic dominance in the coming decades, it should come as little surprise that businesses are falling over themselves to secure floor space in this strategic location.

Despite these facts, it is still possible to find reasonably priced executive office space in a central Beijing and here are a few options that we feel represent an excellent balance between location, services and cost.

To celebrate the launch of this new feature we have decided to award the accolade to 10 office centres from across Asia that we feel personify what this scheme is all about.

Al Jaidah Square Office Centre - The union of timeless architecture and integrated technology.

Posted in Doha on Friday, 27th September 2013 at 9:23AM

It is obvious from first glance that the recently opened Al Jaidah Square business centre in Doha, Qatar, is not your ordinary serviced office centre.  The ornate and beautiful ground-floor gives way to a slightly foreboding yet unapologetically futuristic upper-level design anesthetic that is hard to ignore and strangely pleasing to look at. The brainchild of Keith Hobbs of United Designers, 'Jaidah Square infuses traditional and modern elements to create a striking building that simultaneously embraces and redefines Qatar’s architectural landscape'. The simplified geometric Naqsh panels create a strong visual reference to traditional Qatari and Islamic architecture whilst the stark angles of the glazed exterior give a hint of the modern technology and architectural approach that lies within.

At the beginning of the year, Financial Secretary John Tsang launched a scheme that would see stamp duty on the…
